You remember Mubi where not less than
46 students of the Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa were
massacred early last month, yet a bomb factory has been uncovered in
the volatile town by the Joint Military Operation overseeing security
of the area.
The latest discovery brings to three such feet by the security operatives.
Conducting newsmen round the premises of the building housing the bomb manufacturing equipment in Mubi today, the Brigade Commander, 23 Armoured Brigade of the Nigerian Army Yola, Brigadier General John Nwaoga disclosed that the discovery followed the arrest of one
Mohammed Ibrahim at a road block in the area.
He stated the Ibrahim Mohammed was nabbed at a checkpoint with over N3 million and $200 and a pistol stuffed in his Honda car with registration no. CF 26 SMK.
According to the Brigade Commander, the arrest of the suspect and upon subsequent interrogation led the security operatives to the house along Mubi - Maiha road in the outskirt of the town.
Items discovered in the building include bags of fertilizers, gas cylinders, thousands of ready-made cans of Explosive Devices, remote controls of different makes, car batteries and wires of various types.
Also uncovered in the building located in a rice farm include police uniforms, locally made grenades, charms among other things.
