CEO Bi-Courtney, Babalakin charged for money laundering

The Chief Executive Officer of Bi-Courtney Ltd, Wale Babalakin, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering. The EFCC filed a 27 count charge against Babalakin at a Lagos High Court including his involvement in facilitating the siphoning of about N2 billion belonging to Delta State on behalf of former Governor James Ibori.
This is coming just two days after the Federal Government terminated the concessionary agreement between Bi- Courtney and federal government on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
Although the charges were filed, no date had been fixed for the commencement of Babalakin’s trial
